Many, including myself, have interpreted this scripture 1 Cor. 10:13 wrongly;
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
This is speaking of temptation, this is NOT speaking of God NOT giving you more than you can handle. When people say this or state this, just know that it is NOT in the BIBLE.
The Lord does give us more than we can handle because it is NOT WE WHO HANDLE IT! It is at this moment of, (more than we can handle), that we surrender and turn our situation over to the Lord. We have to say, "Your strength is made perfect in my weakness," YOU HANDLE IT LORD.
I take my hands OFF the situation or circumstance. I let go and let God. Yes, that little saying can take on a whole new meaning when we truly allow the Lord to take over the situation or problem that we face.
The Lord says, He WILL walk with us through the fire, He will NOT allow the raging waters to cover our heads. He will never leave you or forsake you. Holy Spirit lives on the inside of you. He will NEVER leave you. Trust in His love today. He has peace and joy for your troubled heart TODAY!
Isaiah 43
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
3 For I am the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
